Activator:
The activator is the cornerstone of the ActiveTag™ control point architecture. It is a stand-alone transmitter that connects directly to an application-specific antenna to provide a low frequency activation signal that awakens tags as they pass through the antenna’s field. The standard activator writes its location ID to the tag, which is then re-transmitted, along with the tag’s unique ID, to provide the tag’s precise location at the time of activation. By adjusting the power output on the standard activator, the activation area can be expanded or reduced, thus creating control points from a few feet in diameter to tens of feet across.
The standard activator can be configured with its own user-defined location ID via serial port (using a PC or terminal communications device) or manually via jumpers. The unit installs easily and offers flexible coverage for perimeter doors, interior zones, vehicle lanes and other control points throughout the facility.

Receiver:
The ActiveTag™ serial receiver is a network-capable general-purpose receiver that detects tag signals, converts them into data, and forwards the information to a controller or host application. The -IP Network Receiver adds a LAN interface to the basic serial receiver to provide Ethernet connectivity across the enterprise LAN/WAN.
Any number of receivers can be networked throughout multiple facilities to enable enterprise-wide monitoring and tracking of assets, personnel and other mission-critical resources. The receiver processes and filters information received from any tag, whether automatically activated at a control point (via the ActiveTag™ activator) or when triggered by a beacon timer, sensor or alarm event. Tag transmissions can be received at a distance of about 35 feet in a typical office environment with greater distances achievable in open air line-of-sight applications.
The receiver can be configured with an optional Wiegand output for ease of integration with existing access control and alarm systems. The -S serial receiver supports industry standard 26-Bit Wiegand or an RS-232 serial port for ease of interface to virtually any control panel on the market. The -IP version supports Ethernet network communications via TCP/IP protocol. Both receivers can be configured and controlled remotely via Hyper Terminal or commands issued from a software application program. |

The antenna is comprised of a loop of wire embedded between two thin pieces of Plexiglas that can be installed as is or painted to match its surroundings. The antenna’s thin profile and robust construction make it suitable for below ceiling tiles for both indoor and outdoor applications. |

Switch Plate Antenna:
The switch plate antenna is one of the smaller antenna form factors. For building applications, the antenna mounts vertically in the center of the door frame typically 2” from the frame. The switch plate connects directly to the activator to create flexible coverage zones for a variety of applications, including asset and personnel tracking. The antenna is housed in Plexiglas and can be installed as is or painted to match its surroundings. The antenna's thin profile and robust construction make it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. |

Flex Antenna:
The flex antenna is an ultra-thin, flexible activation antenna that connects directly to the activator to create discrete coverage zones for a variety of applications including asset and personnel tracking, asset management and covert surveillance. The flex is the ideal antenna for creating unobtrusive activation zones by blending seamlessly with its environment.
The flex antenna is comprised of a loop of wire encased between two sheets of durable Kapton substrate. The antenna’s ultra-thin profile and robust construction make it suitable for mounting under carpet or floor mats, behind pictures, and in or on walls and ceilings. |

The thin plex antenna connects directly to the activator to create flexible coverage zones for a variety of applications including asset and personnel tracking.

Wide Plex Antenna:
The wide plex antenna connects directly to the AT-132-AT Activator to create flexible coverage zones for a variety of applications including asset and personnel tracking.
The antenna is comprised of a loop of wire embedded between two thin pieces of Plexiglas that can be installed as is or painted to match its surroundings. The antenna’s thin profile and robust construction make it suitable for below ceiling tiles for both indoor and outdoor applications. |

Road Loop Antenna:
The road loop antenna is a low frequency activation antenna that connects directly to the activator to provide flexible coverage zones. The “loop” transmit element is buried in the floor or pavement, creating a radiation pattern that is well suited for vehicle access control and asset monitoring applications.
The kit contains a special “L-bracket” and extension wire that connects directly to the receiver to allow for remote installation of the receiver’s antenna close to the activation area. The loop antenna element is comprised of durable cable that can be made into variable size loops and field adjusted to match each application, as well as a variety of operational environments. For vehicle applications, the ground loop antenna is available in two standard lengths capable of covering single and double lane widths up to 36 feet across. Larger sizes are available upon request |

The Yagi antenna is a directional "Receiver" listening antenna for long-range applications such as parking lots or vehicle access gate control. |
